In this progression you will conduct a critical investigation of the novel Slaughterhouse-5. You will choose a point of focus (a character, a theme, a phrase, etc.) which is important to the novel and you will investigate it using a mode of critical thinking (Feminism, Marxism, Psychoanalytic Theory, etc). The goal of this paper is to deeply engage with an element of the book and to discover its hidden meaning.
Exercise 1:
A Mini-essay: Choose your Point of Focus and describe what you find most interesting about it and how you plan to use this to comment on the book (Post to your Weebly).
Exercise 2:
Critical Lens: Choose the Critical lens you will use in your paper. Summarize the main reasons why this is an interesting for you to investigate the book (Post to your Weebly).
Exercise 3:
Abstract: Write an Abstract/Proposal which summarizes the goals and strategies of the paper you will write (Post to your Weebly).
